The 2008 NFL Draft has come and gone. And the Bills are now 10 Rookies Richer. Surprisingly, no trades were made, JP is still a Bill, and not surprisingly, the Bills did an excellent job filling needs with some superb (on paper) rookies!

In this show we discuss:
  • The 2008 Draft Class: Successes, Failures
  • A look ahead at the 2008 Schedule
  • BBR Mailbag: Your E-Mails, JP Losman's Call
  • Show Wrap Up: Visit the website, articles, BBR on Facebook

BBR Articles Page (tons there, including lots of links!)

Even in the off-season, we want to hear from you! Send us your comments or questions regarding Bills football to our mail, or call the LISTENER HOTLINE 24/7 at (716) 989-4180. We'd love for you to join the conversation! And, always better to keep it "pithy". Really.

Only a couple more months till Bills football!!!

Thanks for joining us for the Buffalo Bills Review: a show by Bills fans, for Bills fans!

Taking a look at the Bills roster on the team website, I don't think Roscoe has anything to worry about.

The Bills were definitely looking to relieve McGee of return duties to spare him the additional chance of injury(we don't need to look any farther than Kevin Everett's scenario last year)... and you'd hope that a recovered Ashton Youboty is poised to make some impact this year.

Even if Roscoe was supplanted on returns by Leodis(The VoR has to admit that that's as cool a name as our Fine TE), let's hope Turk can utilize Mr. Parrish as the more-electrifying Buffalo version of a Wes-Welker-type slot WR.

So, with an already high-profile Lee Evans paired with an attention-grabbing giant rookie, the 3rd receiver should be the position to watch for Bills fans while being under the radar to the rest of the league.

Will it be the slippery, but small, playmaker - Roscoe? Will it be the ball-hungry vet who's built a reputation of quietly picking up first downs - Reed? Or will one of the other four currently listed WRs step up?

The freshly-drafted Steve Johnson? Or one of the 'who?' trio of Justin Jenkins, Scott Mayle, or Felton Huggins?

Personally, I'd love to hear about a game-winning touchdown from Gibran Hamdan to Felton Huggins... but only if no one's on IR, Trent's resting and J.P.'s busy leaving a BBR message on the sidelines.

Speaking of crazy scenarios, because this is the time of wild fantasy rather than informed speculation...

Picture it, after another heart-breaking loss to the Browns on Monday Night Football(the officiating crew blew it - the Bills played their hearts out), the Bills, in a Wild Card game, shut-out the Browns at a blizzardy Cleveland Browns Stadium, 23-0. The scoring as a result of an Edwards-to-Hardy redzone 4th down pass, an 80-yard, screaming Marshawn Lynch bulldozing run, and a Poz-engineered safety(in which Brady Quinn is not 'injured', but gets his 'bell rung'). Honourable mention, of course, to Brian Moorman's two successful faked punts followed by 10+ yard runs.

There. I'm done with the fairy tale. But, I'm all for a Browns/Bills rivalry. The next generation of Kosar vs. Kelly.

Bring on Rookie Camp! Go Bills!

the best part of the show was when dave kept getting disconnected. seriously dude, why do you bother doing a show on the bills when you are so miserable?

Marty, good stuff as always. Like the scenario at the end, except I would really like to beat the Browns on our turf, on MNF, in a good game. No rout, just a sound, decisive victory over a lesser opponent. :-) (Actually, I think they'll be good. So it will be even more fun to beat them)

Jason, Dave is not miserable... just very to the point. So, once the point is made, he must move on. :-) Actually, I think he's been rather positive re: the Bills of late. Even has some fairly lofty predictions for our team for 2008, including potentially starting 5-0!

He's just the show curmudgeon. Every show needs one. Or, the "Voice of Reason" as Marty has pointed out. ;-)

Felton Huggins Watch Update:
Rookie Minicamp Underway

The last line is rather ominous. "Receiver Felton Huggins, a 2007 practice squad member of the Bills, was the only non-participant."

Felton: I know you're reading this and that you're an avid BBR podcast subscriber(and not just because you want to make a good impression on Coach Jauron, another die-hard BBR fan). Get out there and make a name for yourself.

Gibran, Western New Yorkers, and I are all counting on you.

Jason,
Dave is the man. Back off.

Anyway guys, I really like the Bills going into 2008. The only thing that sucks is that they are in the AFC. If they were an NFC team, I'd say they are in the playoffs. I see them going 9-7 this year as of right now which won't be enough to make the 'offs.
