BBR2: Show 2.1.12 [November 13, 2006]

Finally, a loss we can be proud of! Not since week one in Foxboro have the Bills made a game of it in a losing effort. Of course, that's not how we Bills fans would have liked it to end... so close, and yet so far. NO FOOT returns with a rare miss that could have put the Bills ahead with only 6 minutes to go. But would it have really mattered with Peyton Manning on the other team? Point is... our boys showed up! Way to go Bills!

Dave, gotta say, you're right on the same wave length as me. I personally am tired of the O-line excuse and I jumped off the JP bandwagon a long time ago. You're absolutely right when you say JP can not carry this team to a first down, let alone a win. The QB position is the single most important position on offense, and he just doesn't have what it takes. I thought the days of 60-80 yard passing days were over and done with gettin past last season, but alas, this is not the case. If JP is supposed to be getting groomed and developed...you can't do that by having the coaching staff do everything short of changing his daiper when JP craps all over the field. I think the play calling as of late shows that they want to keep JP the whole season so they have all the tape in the world to show that he is definitly NOT the QB of the future. Great show guys, keep it up!
-EJ in DC
EJ, I feel your pain. Lived in DC for a few years, actually NOVA. Anyway, you are right JP will be around the rest of the year unless he gets injured. Expect big shake ups next year as we are in a multi-year rebuilding process. All the Donahue mistakes need to be purged from this team and that will take 2-3 years.
Just saw someone on the Bills message boards saying that our situation might be like Baltimore... they had Kyle Boller last year, and everyone hated him, they couldn't do anything. They didn't change much this year except getting Steve McNair, and now they can be in any game offensively with a QB the team (and coaches) believe in.
I'm still not willing to say it's all JP. But it's definitely not good. I think we should have gotten Drew Brees. And I'm a supporter of Losman... but I do realize there are better guys out there.
I'm all for bringing back Jim Kelly.... :-)
